Velocity Girl was an American indie rock band formed in 1989 in College Park, Maryland. The group released three studio albums: "Copacetic" (1993), "¡Simpatico!" (1994), and "Gilded Stars and Zealous Hearts" (1996). Their music blended elements of shoegaze and indie pop, drawing inspiration from British bands like Ride and My Bloody Valentine. The band disbanded in 1996 but reunited for several concerts in 2002 and 2023. In 2024, they released a remastered and expanded version of their debut album titled "UltraCopacetic".
