Velvet Revolver was an American hard rock supergroup active from 2002 to 2008. The band comprised former Guns N' Roses members Slash (lead guitar), Duff McKagan (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Sorum (drums, backing vocals), along with Dave Kushner (rhythm guitar) from Wasted Youth and Scott Weiland (lead vocals) from Stone Temple Pilots. Their 2004 debut album, "Contraband," reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and included singles "Slither" and "Fall to Pieces." "Slither" won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005. Their second album, "Libertad," was released in 2007. Following Weiland's departure in 2008, the band has remained inactive.
