Věra Špinarová (1951–2017) was a Czech singer known for her alto voice. Born in Pohořelice, she moved to Ostrava at the age of seven. She began her career in the 1960s with the bands Flamengo and Majestic. In 1972, she released her debut album "Andromeda". Among her most famous songs is "Jednoho dne se vrátíš" from 1976, a Czech version of Ennio Morricone's composition from the film "Once Upon a Time in the West". Throughout her career, she collaborated with various musicians and received several awards, including third place at the Bratislavská lýra festival in 1976 with the song "Lúčenie".
