Vigilant is a Dutch technical thrash metal band formed in 1987 by former Thanatos member André Scherpenberg. The band released two demos: "Dramatic Surge" in 1988 and "Oppression" in 1989. In 2023, these demos were reissued on the compilation "Oppression / Dramatic Surge," which also includes two rare tracks from the 1989 "Metal in Rocks, Volume II" compilation and bonus live and rehearsal recordings from 1988. The compilation was remastered by Achilleas and features extensive liner notes by Pim Blankenstein. The products available from the artist Vigilant include CDs.
