Vince Clarke is an English musician and songwriter, known as the primary composer and musician of the band Erasure since its inception in 1985. Previously, he was the main songwriter for groups including Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and The Assembly. In November 2023, he released his first solo album, "Songs of Silence," which is instrumental and focuses on ambient electronic music. The album was recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic and reflects Clarke's feelings of anxiety and sadness from that period.
