"LOVE IN THE TIME OF CAPITAL" is the latest album by John Davis, known from The Folk Implosion, released on August 9, 2024. This limited edition is available on green and red vinyl. The album combines the classic power pop trio of drums, bass, and electric guitar with organs and pianos, reminiscent of bands like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Davis collaborates with Eli Moore and Andrew Dorsett from the indie pop band Lake, creating a rich and introspective musical experience. The recording took place at The Unknown studio in Anacortes, WA, and was mixed by Scott Solter in Durham, NC. The album features four ballads, three of which are without drums and electric guitar, perfect for late-night introspection.
