Legendary saxophonist Wayne Shorter presents "Odyssey of Iska," recorded in August 1970 and released on July 5, 2024. Dedicated to his daughter Iska, this album marks the final release of his early Blue Note period. It features four original compositions capturing various moods: "Wind," "Storm," "Calm," and "Joy." The album's highlight is an extended version of Bobby Thomas' "De Pois do Amor, o Vazio," foreshadowing Shorter's growing interest in Brazilian music. This 180g vinyl is part of the Blue Note Tone Poet series, remastered from the original analog tapes and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
