Dudu Tassa, one of Israel's leading rock musicians, is the grandson of Kuwaiti musician Daoud Al Kuwaiti, who, along with his brother Saleh, formed the renowned Al Kuwaiti Brothers duo in the Arab world during the 1930s to 1950s. The album 'Ala Shawati' presents modern renditions of their classic songs, with Tassa blending traditional Iraqi melodies with rock elements to create a unique musical experience. This version of the album includes a bonus track, 'Ala Shawati Dijlah Mur,' featuring guest vocalist Karrar Alsaadi from Baghdad, who made history as the first Iraqi artist to collaborate with Tassa and Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead, The Smile) on the acclaimed album 'Jarak Qaribak' released in June 2023.
