VUUR is a Dutch progressive metal band formed in 2016 by vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen. The band released their debut album, "In This Moment We Are Free - Cities," in October 2017. The album features 11 tracks, each inspired by a different city visited by van Giersbergen during her career. The band is known for its melodic yet heavy sound, combining elements of progressive metal with van Giersbergen's distinctive vocals.
