The album "Yves Castagnet: Magnificat" is an exceptional recording celebrating the reopening of the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral in December 2024. This CD features a new choral setting of the Magnificat by organist and composer Yves Castagnet, who has served as the cathedral's choir organist since 1988. Under the direction of Henri Chalet, director of the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris, the album brings together choir, organ, and soloists in a moving and monumental work inspired by the daily liturgical text. The recording was made in 2022 at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in Paris and serves as the official album for the cathedral's reopening.
