Waldemar Matuška was a Czechoslovak singer and actor who gained prominence in the 1960s and 1970s. He began his career at the Semafor theater, collaborating with Eva Pilarová. Later, he joined the Rokoko theater, performing alongside Helena Vondráčková and Marta Kubišová. His notable songs include "Ach, ta láska nebeská" and "Slavíci z Madridu". He appeared in films such as "Kdyby tisíc klarinetů" and "Noc na Karlštejně". Matuška won the Zlatý slavík award twice. In 1976, he married singer Olga Blechová and collaborated with the group KTO. In 1986, he emigrated to the United States, where he continued his musical career.
