White Noise is an English experimental electronic music band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of David Vorhaus, Delia Derbyshire, and Brian Hodgson. Their debut album, "An Electric Storm," was released in June 1969 under Island Records. The album was created using various tape manipulation techniques and the first British synthesizer, the EMS Synthi VCS3. Despite initial commercial failure, the album is considered important and influential in the development of electronic music. After Derbyshire and Hodgson's departure, Vorhaus continued the project, releasing a second album, "White Noise 2 - Concerto for Synthesizer," in 1974 under Virgin Records.
