White Town is the musical project of British musician Jyoti Mishra, formed in 1989. He achieved his greatest success in 1997 with the single "Your Woman," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. This single was part of the album "Women in Technology." Mishra is known for his approach to sampling and producing music in a home studio. After leaving EMI, he continued creating under independent labels and released several more albums, including "Peek & Poke" and "Don't Mention the War."
