Whitechapel is an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee, formed in 2006. The band's name is derived from the London district of Whitechapel, known for the Jack the Ripper murders. The group has released nine studio albums, including "The Somatic Defilement" (2007), "This Is Exile" (2008), and "Hymns in Dissonance" (2025). Their music blends elements of death metal, progressive metal, and groove metal. The album "A New Era of Corruption" (2010) debuted at number 43 on the Billboard 200 chart. The current lineup consists of Phil Bozeman (vocals), Ben Savage (lead guitar), Alex Wade (rhythm guitar), Zach Householder (third guitar), Gabe Crisp (bass), and Brandon Zackey (drums).
