Wide Mouth Mason is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Originally consisting of Shaun Verreault (vocals, guitar), Safwan Javed (drums, backing vocals), and Earl Pereira (bass guitar), they released their debut album, "The Nazarene," in 1996. This was followed by a self-titled album in 1997, which achieved Gold certification in Canada. Their 1999 album, "Where I Started," also reached Gold status and featured successful singles like "Why" and "Companion (Lay Me Down)." The band received Juno Award nominations and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as touring with AC/DC and ZZ Top.
