Will Glahé was a German accordionist, composer, and bandleader known for his contributions to popular music and polka. In 1936, he recorded "Rosamunde," known as "Beer Barrel Polka," which reached number one on the U.S. charts in 1939. In 1957, he achieved success with "Liechtensteiner Polka," which reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Throughout his career, he received 17 gold records. Glahé passed away in Rheinbreitbach, Germany.
