Windy & Carl is an American ambient duo from Dearborn, Michigan, consisting of husband and wife Carl Hultgren and Windy Weber. Formed in 1993, the group is known for their minimalist compositions that utilize guitars with effects such as delay, reverb, and E-Bow to create drone-like soundscapes. Notable albums include "Depths" (1998), "Consciousness" (2001), and "Songs for the Broken Hearted" (2008). The duo is associated with the Kranky label and has influenced numerous other ambient and drone projects.
