Wolkenfrei is a German schlager band formed in 1999 in Aspach. Originally known as Marc-Fischer-Band, they renamed to Wolkenfrei in 2011. In 2012, singer Vanessa Mai joined the group. Their debut album "Endlos verliebt" was released in 2014, followed by "Wachgeküsst" in 2015. After the departure of other members in 2015, Mai continued under the name Wolkenfrei as a solo artist. In 2023, she released the album "Hotel Tropicana" under the Wolkenfrei name, reviving the project. The band is known for their pop and schlager songs.
