empty cell Woods of Ypres
Woods of Ypres was a Canadian doom/black metal band founded by David Gold in 2002. The band is known for its dark lyrical content and male vocal harmonies. Their debut EP "Against the Seasons: Cold Winter Songs from the Dead Summer Heat" garnered significant attention, as did their subsequent albums "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth" and "Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light." Woods of Ypres collaborated with various artists and received several awards, including the Juno Award for "Woods 5" in the Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year category in 2013. The vocals and lyrics contribute to the band's melodic and emotive atmosphere.
