World's Experience Orchestra was an underground jazz group led by bassist, composer, and arranger John Jamyll Jones, active in Boston during the 1970s and 1980s. Their music blended avant-garde, modal, and spiritual soul-jazz with post-bop elements. The ensemble varied in size from nine to eighteen members. They released two albums: "The Beginning of a New Birth" (1975) and "As Time Flows On" (1980), both in limited pressings. In 2005, Gilles Peterson included their track "The Prayer" in his compilation, rekindling interest in their music. In 2016, both albums were officially reissued by Now-Again Records. The products available from the artist World's Experience Orchestra include CDs.
