Wormwood is a Swedish metal band formed in 2014. Their fourth album, "The Star," released on May 31, 2024, concludes their trilogy about death, which also includes "Nattarvet" and "Arkivet." "Nattarvet" addresses the 19th-century famine in the Nordic region, "Arkivet" focuses on the inevitable downfall of humanity, and "The Star" narrates the end of the universe. Musically, Wormwood operates within the melodic and atmospheric black metal genres, incorporating elements of folk and progressive metal.
