Cheryl is an English singer and television personality who gained fame as a member of the girl group Girls Aloud, formed in 2002 through the television competition Popstars: The Rivals. The group achieved 20 consecutive top-ten singles on the UK Singles Chart, including four number ones, and won a Brit Award for the single "The Promise" in 2009. During the group's hiatus in 2009, Cheryl launched a solo career, releasing four studio albums and five singles that reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.
