Darius Rucker is an American singer and guitarist who began his career as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, a band he co-founded in 1986 at the University of South Carolina. The group sold over 25 million albums, including their debut "Cracked Rear View". In 2008, Rucker launched a solo career in country music, releasing six albums and achieving ten singles that reached number one on country charts. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012 and won a Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Solo Country Performance with "Wagon Wheel".
