After leaving the band, he pursued a solo career, releasing albums such as "Alone Together" and "Let It Flow". His song "Feelin' Alright" became a hit when covered by Joe Cocker. Mason collaborated with artists like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix. In 2004, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic.
