Death in June is a British neofolk and post-punk band formed in 1981 by Douglas P., Patrick Leagas, and Tony Wakeford. The group emerged following the dissolution of the punk band Crisis. Their debut album, "The Guilty Have No Pride," was released in 1983, followed by "Burial" (1984), "Nada!" (1985), and "The World That Summer" (1986). The band is known for its distinctive sound, blending acoustic guitars with electronic elements and atmospheric sound loops. After Leagas's departure in 1985, Douglas P. became the primary member, collaborating with various artists, including David Tibet of Current 93 and Boyd Rice. Their music often draws from European history and literature.
