Electronic was a British musical group formed in 1988 by Bernard Sumner of New Order and Johnny Marr of The Smiths. Their 1991 debut album, "Electronic," featured the hit "Getting Away with It." They subsequently released "Raise the Pressure" (1996) and "Twisted Tenderness" (1999). The group blended elements of electronic music, synthpop, and alternative dance. They collaborated with artists such as Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys. Electronic was active until 1999, after which its members returned to their original bands.
