Het Goede Doel is a Dutch pop band formed in 1979 in Utrecht. The original lineup included Henk Westbroek (vocals), Henk Temming (keyboards, vocals), Sander van Herk (guitar), Ronald Jongeneel (keyboards), Stephan Wienjus (bass guitar), and Ab Tamboer (drums). They achieved breakthrough success in 1982 with the hit "België (Is er leven op Pluto?)" from their debut album "België," which attained platinum status. Other notable songs include "Vriendschap" and "Gijzelaar." The band disbanded in 1991 but reunited in 2001, releasing additional albums such as "Gekkenwerk" in 2008.
