In 2001, he began a solo career, releasing albums such as "Roentgen" and "666". In 2008, he co-founded the hard rock duo Vamps with guitarist K.A.Z. Hyde has collaborated with artists like Apocalyptica and Yoshiki, and his music spans genres including alternative and hard rock. In 2012, L'Arc-en-Ciel became the first Japanese band to perform at Madison Square Garden.
