Joana Mallwitz is a German conductor who became the chief conductor and artistic director of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin in the 2023/24 season, marking her as the first woman to lead a major Berlin orchestra. In August 2020, she debuted at the Salzburg Festival with the opera "Così fan tutte." In 2024, she released "The Kurt Weill Album" with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the Deutsche Grammophon label, featuring works such as "Symphony No. 1 'Berliner Symphonie,'" "Symphony No. 2 'Fantaisie symphonique,'" and "Die Sieben Todsünden."
