Kilburn and the High Roads was a British pub rock band formed in London in 1970 by Ian Dury. The band released one studio album, "Handsome," in 1975 and disbanded the same year. Their music combined elements of rock, pub rock, and protopunk. After the band's dissolution, Dury continued his musical career with Ian Dury and the Blockheads. Guitarist Keith Lucas later founded the punk band 999. The band influenced later British punk and new wave bands, including Madness and The Clash.
