Lisa Batiashvili is a Georgian-German violinist born in 1979 in Tbilisi. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg under Mark Lubotsky and Ana Chumachenko. In 1995, she secured second place at the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prominent orchestras and conductors, including the New York Philharmonic, where she served as artist-in-residence during the 2014/15 season. Her notable recordings include "Secret Love Letters" (2022), "City Lights" (2020), and "Visions of Prokofiev" (2018).
