Lloyd Cole and the Commotions were a British rock and pop band formed in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1982. Between 1984 and 1989, they released three studio albums: "Rattlesnakes" (1984), "Easy Pieces" (1985), and "Mainstream" (1987). Their music was characterized by jangly guitars and introspective lyrics, earning them success in the United Kingdom and other countries. After the band's breakup in 1989, Lloyd Cole pursued a solo career. In 2004, the band briefly reunited for a 20th anniversary tour.
