The Monteverdi Choir is a British ensemble specializing in historically informed performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 20th century. Founded in 1964 by John Eliot Gardiner, the choir is renowned for its stylistic precision and extensive repertoire. In 2000, they undertook the Bach Cantata Pilgrimage, performing nearly all of Bach's church cantatas in historic churches across Europe and the USA. Their recordings, including Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Mass in B Minor, have received international acclaim and awards. In 2023, the choir performed at the coronation of Charles III and Camilla.
