Patricia Petibon is a French soprano born on February 27, 1970, in Montargis. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris under Rachel Yakar, earning a first prize in 1995. Discovered by William Christie, she regularly collaborated with his ensemble Les Arts Florissants. Her repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, including works by composers such as Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Poulenc, and Berg. She has performed on leading opera stages, including the Opéra National de Paris, La Scala in Milan, and the Vienna State Opera. Notable recordings include the albums "Nouveau Monde," "La Belle Excentrique," and "L'Amour, la mort, la mer." In 2022, she was appointed a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.
