Salamandra is a Czech speed metal band formed in 1998 in Ostrava by guitarist Pavel Slíva. Their debut album, "Twilight of Legends," was released in 1999, followed by "Skarremar" (2000) and "Great Moravian Elegies" (2004). Their music blends elements of power and heavy metal with melodic lines. In 2022, they released the album "Opus Bohemica." The band is known for their energetic live performances and contributed the song "Judas" to a Helloween tribute album. They are considered a significant part of the Czech metal scene.
