Signe Marie Rustad is a Norwegian-American singer-songwriter who grew up on a farm in central Norway. Her music blends elements of folk and alternative pop, drawing inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell and Carole King. Rustad debuted in 2012 with the album "Golden Town" and gained recognition for her poetic lyrics and distinctive voice. Her fourth album, "Particles of Faith," released in 2023, marks a shift towards a sound influenced by 1980s and 1990s alternative pop and rock, collaborating with producer Kenneth Ishak. The album features a saxophone solo by Norwegian jazz musician Harald Lassen.
