Soapkills is a Lebanese trip-hop band formed in October 1997 in Beirut by Yasmine Hamdan and Zeid Hamdan (not related). The group combined classical Arabic music with electronic genres such as dub and trip-hop. They released three albums: "Bater" (2001), "Cheftak" (2002), and "Enta Fen" (2005). Their music became the soundtrack for the young arts scene in post-war Lebanon and achieved cult status. After the band's dissolution in 2005, both members pursued solo projects. Yasmine Hamdan continued her music career, and Zeid Hamdan became a significant producer in the Lebanese music scene.
