The Buggles are an English new wave band formed in London in 1977 by vocalist and bassist Trevor Horn and keyboardist Geoff Downes. They are known for their 1979 debut single "Video Killed the Radio Star," which reached number one in 16 countries and was the first music video aired on MTV in 1981. Their debut album, "The Age of Plastic," was released in January 1980 and included other singles such as "Living in the Plastic Age" and "Elstree." After the album's release, Horn and Downes joined the band Yes and recorded the album "Drama." In 1981, they released their second album, "Adventures in Modern Recording." The band disbanded in 1982.
