The Call was an American rock band formed in 1980 in Santa Cruz, California. Led by vocalist and bassist Michael Been, the group was known for its powerful lyrics and energetic sound. Their most notable albums include "Reconciled" (1986) and "Into the Woods" (1987). Their biggest hit, "Let the Day Begin" (1989), reached number one on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
