The Houdini's is a Dutch hard bop sextet formed in 1987. The band gained international recognition after performing at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 1989. Their debut album, "Live at the Paradox," was followed by "Headlines" and "Kickin' in the Front Window," recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in New Jersey. The group collaborated with artists such as Trijntje Oosterhuis and Kim Hoorweg and performed with the Amsterdam New Sinfonietta Orchestra. Their album "In Time" was released in 2013 under the Challenge Records label. The Houdini's are known for their energetic approach to the hard bop genre and have significantly contributed to the Dutch jazz scene.
