The Motions was a Dutch beat group founded in The Hague in 1964. The members were Henk Smitskamp, Rudy Bennett, Sieb Warner, and Robbie van Leeuwen, who is also known as the guitarist and main songwriter for Shocking Blue. During their six years of activity, they released several albums, including "Introduction to The Motions" (1965), "Their Own Way" (1966), and "Impressions of Wonderful" (1967). Their biggest hits include "Why Don't You Take It" and "There Is No Place To Hide". The band was known for their contribution to the Dutch beat scene of the 1960s.
