The Singing Loins is a British folk-punk band formed in 1990 in Chatham, England. Original members Chris Broderick and Chris "Arfur" Allen began as an acoustic duo, recording their first two albums under the guidance of Billy Childish for Hangman Records. After disbanding in 1999, they reunited in 2005, releasing the album "Songs To Hear Before You Die". Their discography includes albums such as "Songs for the Organ", "Steak and Gravy", "At the Bridge", and "Penny Plain:Tuppence Coloured". The band is known for its authentic raw folk sound from the Medway area.
