Waterloo was a Belgian progressive rock band that released their sole album, "First Battle," in 1970. Sung entirely in English, the album blends elements of progressive rock, psychedelia, and hard rock, with a notable influence from Jethro Tull. The band comprised Dirk Bogaert (vocals, flute), Gus Roan (guitar), Marc Malyster (organ), Jacky Mauer (drums), and Jean-Paul Janssens (bass guitar). Originally released on the Vogue label, the album has been reissued multiple times. Waterloo is regarded as one of the most significant Belgian progressive rock bands of their era.
