Yasuaki Shimizu is a Japanese composer, saxophonist, and producer known for his interpretations of J.S. Bach's works on the tenor saxophone. In the 1980s, he was a member of the experimental rock band Mariah, releasing five albums with them. His solo work includes albums like "Kakashi" (1982) and "Music for Commercials" (1987). In 2022, he released "Kiren," originally recorded in 1984. Shimizu is recognized for his innovative approach to music, blending jazz, electronic, and ambient elements.
