Youri Egorov was an Armenian-Russian pianist who began studying piano at the age of six. In 1976, he emigrated to the Netherlands, where he was granted political asylum. Egorov performed regularly on European and American stages and was compared to Dinu Lipatti. His recordings include works by Schubert, Beethoven, and Chopin. He passed away at the age of 33 in 1988.
