Zzebra was a British ethno-jazz/funk/fusion band that released two albums on Polydor in 1974 and 1975. The band featured saxophonist and composer Dave Quincy (founding member of If), bassist John McCoy (later of Gillan and Mammoth), keyboardist Tommy Eyre (who collaborated with Alex Harvey, Illusion, MSG, among others), vocalist Alan Marshall, original Osibisa member Lasisi Amao, guitarist Steve Byrd (later of Gillan), and Irish drummer Liam Genockey (who played with Amalgam, Steeleye Span, Gillan). Their music combined jazz, rock, and African rhythms. The concert at Postaula in Bremen on October 20, 1975, was likely the band's last recording before their dissolution.
