AfroCubism is a musical project that brings together Cuban and Malian musicians. Originally planned in 1996, the project was realized in 2010 under the direction of producer Nick Gold. The album "AfroCubism" was recorded in Madrid and features 14 tracks combining son cubano and mande music. Performers include Eliades Ochoa, Toumani Diabaté, Djelimady Tounkara, and Bassekou Kouyaté.
