Alina Ibragimova is a Russian-British violinist born in 1985 in Polevskoy, Russia. She studied at the Moscow Gnessin School, Yehudi Menuhin School, and Royal College of Music. She is a founding member of the Chiaroscuro Quartet, specializing in classical and early romantic period music. Her discography includes recordings of works by Bach, Prokofiev, and Paganini. In 2020, she received the Gramophone Award for her recording of Shostakovich's violin concertos. In 2016, she was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
