Anna Prohaska is an Austrian-British soprano born in 1983 in Neu-Ulm. She comes from a musical family; her grandfather was conductor Felix Prohaska, and her great-grandfather was composer Carl Prohaska. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin. Since 2006, she has been a member of the ensemble at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Prohaska has collaborated with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, and Simon Rattle. Her notable recordings include the albums "Sirène," "Enchanted Forest," and "Serpent & Fire." In 2012, she received the Echo Klassik award as Young Artist of the Year.
