Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982. The original lineup consisted of vocalist John Bush, guitarists Dave Prichard and Phil Sandoval, bassist Joey Vera, and drummer Gonzo Sandoval. The band achieved moderate success in the 1980s with albums such as "March of the Saint" (1984), "Delirious Nomad" (1985), and "Raising Fear" (1987). After the death of guitarist Dave Prichard in 1990, they released "Symbol of Salvation" (1991). Following a brief disbandment in 1992, the band reunited in 1999 and has since released several more albums, including "La Raza" (2010) and "Punching the Sky" (2020).
